What is a pawn?
It is a small collateral loan, where you give us your item and we hold it for one month. When the month is up you can get your item back by paying off the original amount we gave you plus interest.
Can I pay my CIPS or Verizon bill at your pawn shops?
No, sorry, we no longer accept CIPS or Verizon payments at our stores.
Can I purchase items using a check?
Yes, we accept checks at our stores. We use electronic funds transfers to immediately draw the funds from your checking account.
What are your store hours?
The store hours for Midwest Cash are: M - F, 10am - 6pm and Sat, 10am - 5pm.
What kind of items do you buy?
Let me ask you a question, what do you have? We will buy most anything from houses to the smallest of things. If we can sell it, we will buy it.
How much will you give me for my item?
We need to see your item to give you an amount. Historically we give more than other pawn shops. Bring it in and we'll do the best we can!
My item was stolen, do you have it?
Typically the bad guys don't sell to us, as we proactively report all that we buy to the police department. However, should this occur, we will do our best to help you recover your items and catch the bad guys. Our computer system stores the serial numbers of items and information on sellers. We work with the police to find matches of any stolen item's serial numbers with ours. Please call or email us with the specifics and we'll watch for it.

What type of loans do you offer?
We offer three types of loans; payday loans, installment loans and car title loans.
Are their any up-front charges?
No, you don't pay anything until the loan period is up.
How long are the loans written?
Our loans are written for 13 to 19 days or 5 months.
Do I need a cosigner?
No, but you must be 18 or older.
Do you do a credit check?
We check to see if you have any loans out with any other companies and we check for bankruptcies.
How long does it take to get the money?
After approval, you get the money the same day in cash.
How long does the entire process take?
Provided you bring all the required information, it will usually take about 30-45 minutes on average.

Can I get a link to my website on your page?
Yes, we are more than happy to do link sharing. All you need to do is put a link on your web page to ours and contact us. We have banners that you can put on your site to link to us. For the banners and directions click here. We will not link to immoral and/or illegal sites.
How do I contact the webmaster?

How do I find out if you have any job openings?
Click the links on the left side of the page entitled "News." Midwest cash and Payday Cash both have a news sections. Job listings are normally listed there.
What is the pricing page for?
We use the resources on the pricing page to help get the value of the items that are pawned at the store. You can use these links to find the value of items that you wish to pawn or sell. Please note that these are not the only resources we use. We have books, experience in sellability of items, condition of items, etc. However, you can get a good general idea of the value.
How does the item request feature work?
There is a white banner on the home page and contact page you click to request an item. Basically what you do is give us your contact information, put in an item your looking for either general or specific and submit it to us. When I receive it I send the request to both of our stores and they will let me know if they have the item. If we do, we contact you immediately and let you know the price of the item, condition, etc. If we do not have the item we hold onto your request and when/if we get the item we contact you then.
How can I search the Illinois zip code page I found through the "local info" link?
If you click "ctrl" and "F" at the same time it will open a search window. Then type in the zip code or city you're looking for and click "find next." It will take you to the word you typed and highlight it. This will work with any web page.
I do web page design and have redesigned your webpage. Can I sell you my design to replace your current site?
All purchase/sales calls must go through the office manager at our corporate headquarters. Since the office manager and the webmaster are one and the same, I doubt he will take too kindly you saying his work is not up to par. : P
